“A better example of “South Africas Own Car” you will not come by easily. And especially not the SS (Super Sport) version!
This beautiful yellow Ranger is in great condition from front to back and is ready to be used. She appears to have been restored somewhere in her life, unfortunately we do not have all the details as she was bought from a deceased estate recently.
The colour seems to be the original colour, although repainted. The paintwork is in excellent condition. The vinyl top just adds to the classic bodystyle and look.
As for the interior, this was redone some years ago. The houndstooth material was apparently worn through on the seats and it was decided to recover in all leather. The notorious Springbok emblem was kept on the seats, as it should be. The carpet was also replaced.
Mechanically she is well sorted. A recent major service and recommissioning was undertaken to get her to a good usable standard. The engine bay is original, and so is the factory 2.5L 4 cylinder engine with 4 speed manual transmission.
The wiring was almost completely redone to get everything in working order as it should be. All gauges are fully functional.
This is a beautiful little Ranger SS and fit for any collector. She drives as she looks and is great fun!
