This iconic South African Special is part of our motoring heritage and a recognised production car worldwide, although only sold through SA Ford dealers. Basil Green, who sadly passed away recently, was responsible for creating these baby muscle cars for SA roads, and what a success it was. Approximately 500 Capri Perana V8s were produced, and all are numbered cars.
This example appears to be a very original car, with work done in the past. She starts and runs well and presents as she should. This example leaves room for improvement for the new owner.
Cosmetically she presents well, although not perfect. The high-quality pictures show all the details. She is the correct Piri Piri Red and looks the part. Such an icon!
Mechanically she is ready to be driven. She starts on the turn and sounds great. The original matching numbers 302 BG V8 is in the car and the engine bay presents very original. A recent service and tune-up has her running great.
All the engine bay and floor tags are in place and all match. Exactly as we want it to be. Standard and matching numbers Capri Perana has proven very difficult to come by in recent years.

The rear lights have been changed, as many owners did in the 70’s. This is an easy fix for the new owners.
