“This was a barn find of note in 1994 when a very low mileage SANDF Landy was offered for sale to the public. The previous owner acquired this Landy and had it converted for public use by Leimers also in 1994.
As per the request of the previous owner, who acquired her from the SANDF, Leimers fitted a 19J diesel engine professionally as part of the public use recommissioning. Upon the engine upgrade, the clock was zeroed.
The Landy then went to the owners farm for use there, and after 2 years the farm was sold and the Landy parked off in his garage for 26 years in Pretoria.
She has clocked a mere 1600km in the last 27 years since the Leimers recommissioning.
Being recently revived, she had work done on the suspension, brakes, new tyres, diesel pump and glow plugs, and so forth.
She starts and runs very well, as a Landy does!
Paperwork was recently brought up to date and she is roadworthy and ready for use.
All electricals work as intended.
