South African built 325is BMW’s were sold and distributed in SA only which makes them special. We have seen what the South African icons has been doing in the past. The 325is has a cult following worldwide and we would want to see this car being housed in SA and remaining in its birthplace.
This Evo 1 is in its original format from front to back and has not been altered in any way whatsoever. She is honest and straightforward and ready to be acquired.
The paintwork was redone at some stage to a high standard and in the factory original silver. She presents exceptionally well.
As for the all original, unrestored interior, this is what we like to see. Unmatched originality. The driver side bolster needs to be repaired. This will be done at the sellers cost for the new owner. We wanted to leave it as it is to corroborate the 170000km clocked mileage. Any repair would not be visible. The rest of the seats are 100% original and in cloth as an Evo 1 should be.
Mechanically, it is a 325is. She sounds, runs, drives, handles and gets all of the attention, as only a 325is E30 can demand. Unfortunately she has no books, apart from an owners manual. It is clear that the vehicle was well maintained and cared for. All the electricals are fully functional. The engine and gearbox are all matching numbers and in perfect condition.
