W126 300SE Automatic
“On the 5th of April 1989, this very smart 300SE was purchased new at John William’s Mercedes-Benz Virginia Motors by the Wille family of Theunissen. From that day forward, it was maintained with meticulous care, boasting an extensive agent service history at John William’s Motors for many years. Later in its life, it was retired from daily duties and used only for special occasions, which is why it presents so well today.
This is a dry, rust-free upcountry example of the iconic W126 — and it shows. Finished in its factory shade of DB147 Arctic White, the body is complemented by an immaculately kept grey interior. Inside you’ll find the original plush grey carpets, matching mats, and a flawless dashboard — free of any cracks, a rarity in the W126 world.
Being the facelift 300SE, it gained many improvements over the 280SE, both cosmetic and mechanical. Highlights include the electrically adjustable steering wheel, outside temperature display, and tilt-slide sunroof — details that made the facelifted W126 such a refined and desirable model.
Features & Details:
• 220,000 km on the clock
• Full set of manuals, books, and keys included
• Original jack, unused first aid kit, tool roll, and mint decals still in place
• Original Becker Le Mans radio with manual and code
• Very rare OEM factory gooseneck towbar
• Ice-cold aircon, just like new
• OEM 15” 7J steel wheels with perfect wheel caps and brand-new Dunlop tyres
Mechanically, it starts, stops, and runs as a Mercedes-Benz should. This is a get-in-and-go car, the kind of classic that is as usable today as it was in 1989.
A W126 in this condition, with this history, is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

This isn't just a dealership; it's a museum where every car tells a story. From impeccably restored muscle cars to perfectly preserved European grand tourers, their inventory is diverse and of the highest quality. What truly sets them apart is the expertise and genuine passion of the staff, not only about the mechanics and history of the vehicles but also about the provenance and market value. There was zero pressure—just honest, excited discussion about classic cars. If you're serious about finding a rare, high-quality classic, or just want to spend an afternoon admiring automotive history, Wat Swaai Jy is the definitive place to go. A truly world-class operation.Posted on Mark GeddesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
