This truck was part of the Harry Hart collection acquired by us in 2023. The vehicles have been serviced and given a tune up, now they will be placed up for sale.
This beautiful and eyecatching red Chevy is as retro as it gets! Park this anywhere and it will advertise anything, for sure.
This example was built by Oupa Harry many, many years ago and used regularly up until not too long ago. He maintained and kept all his vehicles in usable condition, we just repaired and replaced any items requiring work and tried to keep the originality and longstanding history alive.
Mechanically she starts and runs well. The straight 6 engine fires up, as they always do, and will keep going for many years to come. Serviced and strong!
Some suspension work was done, all on the original suspension with no aftermarket upgrades whatsoever. The brakes are all in working order.
The interior is original, basic, and functional. Nothing more needed, not in 1957 at least. All the electricals are functional.
Paintwork presents well with some good patina. She is not close to perfect, but we preferred keeping it as it is. Provenance took the upper hand here. The wooden frame at the back was built by Oupa Harry himself and it just works and looks great, whilst also easily removable.
She runs well well and as expected from an original 57 truck!
